UK Young Artists is a partnership of four universities (Nottingham Trent University, De Montfort University, Loughborough University and Derby University) and Arts Council England.

Every other year UK Young Artists will stage a UK wide call for young artists (18 - 30) in any artform offering the opportunity to exhibit at a regional event. Up to 50 young artists will be selected by a panel and applications will be taken online with a small administration fee.

The regional event will rotate around the three cities in the region every other year (starting with Derby 2010, moving onto Leicester and Nottingham) From this selection up to 15 young artists will then be selected to take part in the Young People's international Biennale in the years in between. (Macedonia 2009). This event will be delivered in partnership with ACE , BJCEM www.bjcem.org and UK Young Artists. This will be an ongoing partnership.
